BCO Young Composer Competition
The Burlington Chamber Orchestra, known for providing opportunities for young musicians, hosts a competition for emerging young composers. The first annual Young Composers Competition starts in 2016. The winning piece will be performed by the Burlington Chamber Orchestra at our annual “Celebration of Youth” concert in May.

Jacob Morton-Black is a Colchester, Vermont native and is a junior at Ithaca College pursing a B.M. in Composition. His winning composition “In Memoriam” will be performed by the Burlington Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Guest Conductor Kayoko Dan on May 14, 2016 at the UVM Recital Hall in Burlington.
