BCO Concerto Competition - (formerly Young Artist Solo Competition)

2012 Young Artist Solo Competition Winner Matthew Goff, cello
Since its founding in 2007, the Burlington Chamber Orchestra has been proud to host and present the BCO Concerto Competition (formerly the Young Artist Competition). This annual competition is an opportunity for talented local musicians to work closely with the BCO and perform in concert. The BCO Concerto Competition is an important component of the orchestra's commitment to music education and outreach.

Auditions are held in February each year, and the three-member BCO Audition Committee chooses a winner to be featured in the orchestra's May concert. Winners receive a $500 prize. Other prize benefits include a high quality audio recording of the concert, and/or local media interviews and school tours, as appropriate.
